I REALLY need to get into my email.
My husbands account, which he already opted to use the new BETA, works. Mine won't. I see no one else seems to be able to get emails either, well get INTO them.. they are there. And I go to the page to OPT for the new beta, and IT times out. And,yahoo HELP link won't work either.
I am USING my original email and it wont' work. I dont' have an ISP. We have free wi fi.
And doesn't work from IM either.
I do have IE7 though, but it was working yesterday. But this morning it started off loading slow, now not at all. I actually got in ONCE and was able to open one email. Now, I was able to get to the YAHOO help link although it was down earlier as well and sent them a message.
I was with original yahoo email. Tried the link for the beta and it was timing out. "Web Page cannot be loaded"etc. NOW, I cleared all the history/cookies/files out..and logged in a few times and now I am in, but it's NOW beta email even though I didn't get to do it earlier when I tried. WEird. So long as it keeps workings.

Isn't Yahoo great
Hi,
Yahoo will be the very best when testing is complete! Especially since it is a web base and not an ISP. I don't know why people don't use their free Internet Service Providers mail??? Does Google provide a mail service?
BETA MEANS TESTING! It lasts for at least 6 months!!!
NOTE: Use BETA software at your own risk; it is intended for testing and evaluation purposes only. Do not install beta software on your primary computer or production environment. That was from Microsoft help pages.
My first suggestion is to use your ISP, Internet Service Provider mail accounts if you are having problems that can't be corrected by going back to IE6 and Yahoo! Original Mail!!!
To get in mail:
You will have less problems with original mail if you sign in via Messenger! Go to preferences, general, then check box: Automatically sign me in when I click a Yahoo! link in Messenger. Or go to My Yahoo and click on your mail link. Or Click on the Big RED Y! on the Yahoo! Toolbar. Bottom line is any link that already has you signed in!!!
This has been going on for over a couple of months now. It is a server problem between IE7 and BETA MAIL.
This is the only thing that I have found for a fix until testing is over. So, if you don't have BETA MAIL or IE 7 and are having some of the following problems, contact Technical Support:…
Error fixes on help pages were for Original Mail before Beta Mail was offered. That is why they don't seem to be helping very much since the testing has begun:…
These are the most resent problems reported to Yahoo! Questions:
CANNOT COMPOSE REPLY OR SEND MAIL …
YOUR LOG-IN SESSION HAS EXPIRED: …
CAN NOT FIND SERVER: Go to Tools, Internet Options and on the general tab, Delete Cookies, Temporary Files and Clear History. That should do it for you!
I believe it will solve MOST, MOST, all the problems people are having if you Switch Back to Original Mail, until it is out of the TESTING STAGE. AND IF YOU HAVE IE7 or IE8, uninstall it by going to Start Control Panel/Settings and then Add and Remove Programs. Try it and if it doesn't solve your problem just SWITCH BACK TO BETA MAIL!
Hope this helps you
gotta love yahoo
Why not try to access from the yahoo IM account? That has a link to the mail site, if you select to open when clicked. To do that go to Im, preferences and click the general tab..then click the in the "when I'm using yahoo messenger" area..automatically sign me in box. That should get you there…..worth a try. good luck
Greetings,
I assume that you have the new Yahoo Mail Beta Version now. When you sign into your account, what exactly happens? (i.e error messages, does your computer freeze or just Yahoo Mail?) What browser and version of Windows are you using? Yahoo Mail Beta ONLY works in IE and Firefox.
If you can get into your account, you may want to consider going back to original Yahoo Mail by clicking Switch Back at the top of the Mail screen. Can you switch back to original Yahoo Mail? How does that work for you?
REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU CAN OR CAN'T SWITCH BACK TO ORIGINAL YAHOO MAIL, I WOULD RECOMMEND THE FOLLOWING:
1.) Clear your browser's History, Cache and Temporary Internet Files. In IE go to Tools, Internet Options, follow the prompts
2) Clear all cookies. in IE go to Tools, Internet Options, (NOTE:THIS WILL REQUIRE YOU TO REENTER/LOGIN AGAIN TO ALL SITES THAT YOU VISIT THAT USE A PASSWORD, SO MAKE SURE THAT YOU KNOW YOUR PASSWORDS ON THE SITES YOU VISIT BEFORE YOU DO THIS.)
3.) Close out of your browser and all Windows. Wait several seconds. Go to the My Computer icon either on your desktop or start menu. Right-Click on Drive C, Select Disk Clean up and delete temporaory files. Leave the other stuff alone.
4.) Click OK
5.) When Disk Clean up is done. Click ok and close out. Wait several seconds. Making sure everything is closed out, reboot your computer.
6.) Can you get into Yahoo Mail now?

Good question, my friend.
Yahoo has been having major server issues since at LEAST Jan. 10, seemingly just with particular servers. And what's happening to you is unfortunately one of the many problems that people are having because of them, and Yahoo doesn't seem to be in any particular hurry to solve them. Their "tech support" is nothing but a joke right now. And the problems are not just w/Yahoo Beta or IE7; I and others not using either are having similar problems. But both do have more problems; if you're using Beta, it's still in the testing stage and has a lot of problems, so go back to original Yahoo mail, and the same w/IE7, go back to IE6 until MS irons out all the problems.
I've had to use another acct.provided free by my ISP to send/rcv important e-mails since Jan. 10, and it's been working just fine the whole time. If you don't have another acct.w/another provider besides Yahoo, I'd strongly advise to get one; it makes a good backup in case of problems like this.
Please see my posting from Fri. Jan. 12 under the heading "Anyone having problems of any kind w/Yahoo Mail, PLEASE READ THIS" for more info and on reporting problems to Yahoo.
And since that original posting, they've also sent another e-mail that they've escalated the problem (or should I say problems!) to their engineering department, which is an indication of major problems, and not just a minor S/W "glitch." And again, the problems are not exclusive to Yahoo's Beta, though it does seem to compound the problems.
